FAQ

How long is your show?

That is entirely up to you. You need to decide what fits into your schedule of events most effectively. You can have anything from a 15 minute show to a 90 minute show. Alone, I would do anything up to 60 minutes. Beyond that, I would need to bring in another comic to open the show and do 15 to 30 minutes. What seems to work best is a show between 35 and 45 minutes. Then I would do the show entirely myself. But as I said you need to determine what best fits your needs.

Can you customize your show for our group?

Most definitely. I think audiences always enjoy being a part of the show. I like to talk to the client a few weeks before the show to gather information about the group, and identify any funny stories about certain individuals within the group that can be used as part of the show. This type of information also gives me a handle on what type of group it is, and it helps me determine what material is most appropriate, and what will connect most effectively with the audience.

Do you only perform for large groups?

No, I have performed for groups ranging from 15 to 5000. So, no matter what the size of your group, I can do a show that everyone will enjoy.

How far can you travel?

I live in Chicago, but I have performed all over the States, in Canada, and in the Caribbean. So no matter where you are, big city or small, there is a good chance I have performed near you. And wherever you are, I am more than willing to come back to your neck of the woods.

How far in advance do I need to contact you if we are interested?

The sooner the better. If you are interested in a particular date let me know and I can put a ‘soft hold’ on the date. A soft hold simply means that if any other potential client contacts me about that date, I would contact you and give you first chance to book.

Keep in mind that it isn’t unusual for me to book dates anywhere from 8 to 12 months in advance. The earlier you contact me, the better your chances that your date will be open. (This is especially important for dates in December. They tend to fill up fast.)

What does it cost to bring you in to perform?

That depends on a number of different factors. Is it during the week or on a weekend? How far do I have to travel? How long do you want the show to be? Will I need to bring in an opener? Do I need to provide a sound system or a lighting system? All these things are a part of the cost. So, give me as many details as you can in the ‘Request a Quote‘ form and I will be happy to give you a better idea as to cost.
